Our Team

Josh Kudo, P.T., DPT, Center Manager

Both of Josh's parents were involved in the rehabilitation world. He grew up around his father instructing folks in various martial arts-which sometimes meant doing some rehabilitation after one of his students became acutely injured. Through that experience, Josh got to see how powerful it could be to help folks get right back up and get back to what they loved. Josh believes that recovering from injury is scary enough so he brings a warm and personal approach to each interaction with his patients. He was born in Springfield, Mass. and moved to Austin in 2021, where he became the center manager of the Red River center. Josh specializes in general orthopedics, low back pain, sports rehabilitation, post-surgical rehabilitation and return-to-work conditioning including functional capacity evaluations. As a center manager and clinical instructor, he provides care for athletes, geriatrics, post-surgical patients and worker's compensation cases.

Success Stories

Craig Jayson

Craig Jayson went from hiking, kayaking and practicing karate to struggling to walk due to lower-back arthritis and sciatica. With a challenging trip to Patagonia ahead, Craig began physical therapy in November to regain mobility and flexibility. He worked with Physical Therapist Josh Kudo, who pushed him during sessions and helped him to manage pain. Craig stayed committed, continuing exercises at home and scheduling appointments whenever discomfort returned. By February, his recovery had progressed significantly, and he felt ready for the 130-mile kayaking and trekking adventure in Chile. A few months later, Craig was back to full speed. "Now I can race in Spartan events and live like I did before the injury," he shared.
