Our Team

Michelle Merunka, P.T., DPT, ATC - Center Manager

Michelle Merunka, P.T., DPT, ATC is a physical therapist and center manager with Baylor Scott & White Institute for Rehabilitation Outpatient Therapy in Buda. When Michelle was growing up, her grandmother needed physical therapy, and as she watch her improve, Michelle realized she wanted to help people in the same way. Born in Mandaluyong City, Philippines, Michelle was raised "around the world" since her father was in the Marines. She now lives in Buda with her husband and child. At one point, Michelle almost became a professional bowler. Now, in her spare time, she spends time with her family and doing triathlons. "It is rewarding to see people get back to doing the things they enjoy doing and helping to restore their function."

Brian Slaughter, P.T.

Brian brings nearly two decades of experience to his role as a senior physical therapist. As an endurance athlete with multiple over-use injuries, Brian experienced the benefits of physical therapy firsthand. Brian was born and raised in New Bern, North Carolina, and now resides in Austin. He is a former Army Officer and a Gulf War Veteran.
