About
Our McKinney Lake Forest Orthopedic Therapy center is located on the 3rd floor of Physician Office Building 2 at Baylor Scott & White Medical Center - McKinney at the intersection of W. University  Drive (Highway 380) and Lake Forest Drive.
 
We know that injuries are never scheduled, but relief can be. If you're injured, tired of having less mobility or experiencing aches and pains, let our licensed clinical experts help.  

We provide comprehensive outpatient physical therapy and occupational therapy to individuals suffering from injury or pain associated with sports injuries, back/neck pain, joint problems, balance disorders and work-related injuries. Our therapists work with you and create an individualized treatment plan to help you quickly return to daily activities, work duties and recreational pursuits.

Our Team

Roberto Martinez, P.T., DPT, CMPT - Center Manager

Roberto Martinez, P.T., DPT has been a member of BSWIR Outpatient Therapy since 2012. He specializes in sports and orthopedic rehabilitation. Roberto is currently head of BSW Rehab's ACL special interest groups (SIGs) in furthering research-based treatment and effective return to play testing, to get athletes back onto the field safely. He also holds a certification in manual therapy and trigger point dry needling. Roberto enjoys spending time with his kids and wife, and loves playing indoor soccer and coaching his kids' recreational teams. He also enjoys watching the NFL and premier league soccer. Roberto's vision is to provide patients with the best care and help them overcome their obstacles so they can get back to doing the things they love.

Collin Pagel, P.T., DPT

Collin graduated from TWU's School of Physical Therapy in Dallas. He is originally from Muenster, Texas, and now lives with his wife in Allen, Texas. Collin enjoys treating various patient populations, but focuses on orthopedics, return to sport and vertigo treatments.

Kayla Jones, P.T., DPT, CSCS

Kayla graduated from Howard Payne University with her bachelor's degree in kinesiology. She then earned her doctorate in physical therapy from UT Southwestern. She is a certified strength and conditioning specialist who specializes in post-surgical rehabilitation, knee pain, shoulder pain, low back pain and return to sport rehabilitation. She grew up playing sports and was in and out of physical therapy centers with injuries. She has loved the atmosphere of physical therapy centers and appreciated the opportunity to witness firsthand the impact physical therapy has on athletes.

Paula McKenzie, P.T.

Paula has been a clinician for 32 years. As someone who lives with scoliosis, Paula got introduced to physical therapy when she was 12. Seeing the positive impact of therapy first-hand, she started her career treating orthopedic conditions and has now pivoted to treating pelvic health patients. She enjoys being able to educate her patients in their pelvic floor and bladder health, as well as giving them tools to manage their own diagnosis. Paula has a pregnancy and exercise certification from Mom's in Motion; certification in dry needling: craniofacial, cervicothoracic and upper extremity conditions; and certification in dry needling: lumbosacral and lower extremity conditions.

Tiana Humphrey, P.T., DPT

Tiana brings a bright energy to the center with her personality and positivity. She was born and raised in Owasso, Oklahoma. She then went on to play soccer in college at Texas Southern University. She enjoys treating patients who have orthopedic conditions and has a passion of promoting wellness following her patients' physical therapy journey so they can meet their personal goals. "I have always had a passion for helping others and seeing them reach goals, whether short-term or long-term, is always a win for me" she says.
