Cancer Rehabilitation
Helping you live well beyond cancer
Over 18 million Americans have cancer of all types and at various stages of treatment and recovery.
Up to 90% of those receiving cancer treatments have at least one side effect. The most common side effects include pain, fatigue, difficulty with memory and concentration and mobility issues. Yet less than 10% get help for their cancer-related symptoms. ReVital Cancer Rehabilitation powered by Baylor Scott & White Institute for Rehabilitation - Outpatient Therapy is changing that statistic.
Our specialized therapists focus on helping individuals with cancer, anywhere in their survivorship journey, live better lives through restoration of the mind, body and overall well-being.

ReVital Cancer Rehabilitation is the first nationwide, comprehensive cancer rehabilitation program of its kind. Extensively trained in oncology rehabilitation, ReVital therapists understand the unique challenges patients face while undergoing cancer treatment.
Our therapists choose to specialize in cancer rehabilitation to help people thrive, not just survive. Whether it’s returning to the dance floor or getting back to work, our physical, occupational and speech therapists help you regain strength and function to achieve your goals.
Working with a ReVital therapist can help you:

- Regain speech and swallowing abilities
- Improve bowel, bladder and sexual function
- Reduce numbness and tingling
- Manage persistent swelling and other side effects
- Continue to engage in important daily activities and roles
What to expect
During your first session, a ReVital therapist will:
- Conduct a detailed review of your history to fully understand your cancer journey and any medical or functional issues that might affect your recovery.
- Perform a specialized assessment to understand your specific goals and establish baseline measurements of strength, balance, mobility, endurance and more.
- Provide specific education on the effects cancer and its treatments can have on your body, along with tools to proactively manage potential side effects.
- Create a customized treatment plan that may include hands-on therapy, an individualized home program and tailored exercises to help you overcome challenges and meet your goals.
Throughout your cancer rehabilitation sessions, your therapist(s) will communicate progress to your cancer care team to keep them updated so everyone is working together for you.
How to access cancer rehabilitation care
There are several ways to connect with a ReVital therapist – with or without a physician’s referral.
For both options, we encourage you to talk to your oncology or family practice team about the benefits of cancer rehabilitation. They can help determine if ReVital is right for you.
